It is the ante-room for the Kornati archipelago, and is an attractive point for the boaters and people who a rest. The vilage is for the first time mentioned in the 15th century, and the Franciscan monastery and the St. Michael's church date from that time.
There is the gas station, the single one on the lower nautical line of the Zadar's acrhipelago.
Beside nice beaches, Zaglav offers various sport possibilities such as volleyball on the sand, basketball and two diving schools. But every guest in Zaglav will with the help of local fishermen visit Nature Park Telašćica and Kornati archipelago on one of the everyday excursions.

The pictures agricultural and fishing place with fertile fields in the winter changing to Velo and Malo Jezero.
There is a good offer of domestic products such as olive oil, wine and cheese. The village is situated above and within the small Žmanšćica bay.
For first time it has been mentioned under the name of Mežano in 13th century, and from that time date the parish church St. Ivan.
There is evidence of prehistoric and Roman times. The place is surrounded with hills Gračina, Veliki and Mali Stolitnjak, and two small island named Krknata and Vaka.
